Now this joke would start off with somebody coming up to someone and asking him if he’d seen Tom Collins. Now this person of course hadn’t seen Tom but the person asking him the question would get him so angry and so enraged because he would say this Tom Collins is saying really bad things about you and your family and your wife, that this guy would go rushing off to the nearest bar where they said yeah I saw him going that way so once the character got in now these bars knew these guys were coming it was part of the joke this guy’s had bust through there and they’d start looking at all the local bars and once this person got in they’d eventually let him know what kind of a joke it was after a couple of bars and then they’d give him a drink they caught the drink was called the Tom Collins okay now in film the Tom Collins can be seen in meet the parents starring Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro from 2000.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 2 oz Gin
  • 1 oz Lemon juice
  • .75 oz Simple Syrup
  • Top with Club Soda
  • Lemon Wheel and Cherry garnish
  • Ice

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to shaking glass.
    2 oz Gin, 1 oz Lemon juice, .75 oz Simple Syrup, Top with Club Soda, Lemon Wheel and Cherry garnish, Ice
  • Shake with ice for about 10-15 seconds.
  • Poor over ice into Collins glass.
  • Top with club soda.
  • Garnish with Lemon Wheel and Cherry
