Spiced Honey Syrup
Honey, water, and various spices are combined to make a syrup known as Spiced Honey Syrup. It is a type of simple syrup, and its consistency is somewhat analogous to that of molasses. The liquefied sugar, which has a great deal of hydroxyl (OH) groups, forms a variety of hydrogen bonds with itself, which gives the substance its viscosity. Sugar can be dissolved in water to make syrup, or naturally sweet juices like cane juice, sorghum juice, maple sap, or agave nectar can be reduced in volume to be used in syrup production. Corn syrup is produced by converting corn starch through an enzymatic process, which then results in the formation of sugars.
