Sex on the Beach

There are a couple of different opinions on who created the Sex On The Beach Cocktail. The first is that a spirits company named National Distribution wanted to boost sales of its new liqueur, peach schnapps. So they launched a contest to award $1,000 to the bar that sold the most peach schnapps, and a further $100 to the bartender who made the most sales. So Ted Pizio of Confetti's Bar in Florida took up the challenge and gave us the cocktail that we know today. However according to some cocktail historians the recipe for a Sex On The Beach cocktail shows up in the 1982 edition of "American Bartenders School Guide to Drinks". But I believe that it is a combination of a Fuzzy Navel (orange juice and peach schnapps) with a Cape Codder (vodka and cranberry juice). Try it out and let me know what you think.
