How to make Satan’s Whiskers Cocktail, a Harry Craddock Original. This cocktail is usually attributed to Adolph “Eddie” Brandstatter the owners of the Embassy Club, which is a prohibition-era Hollywood speakeasy. The Satan’s Whiskers Cocktail is a variation on the Bronx, and can be made one of two ways—either “straight” with Grand Marnier, or “curled” with orange curacao. Ingredients
 
 

  • .75 oz Gin
  • .75 oz Dry Vermouth
  • .75 oz Sweet Vermouth
  • .5 oz Grand Marnier
  • .75 oz Orange Juice
  • 1 Dash Orange Bitters

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to the shaker tin.
    .75 oz Gin, .75 oz Dry Vermouth, .75 oz Sweet Vermouth, .5 oz Grand Marnier, .75 oz Orange Juice, 1 Dash Orange Bitters
  • Shake with ice for 10-15 seconds.
  • 4 Fine strain into a coupe.
  • Garnish with a desiccated lime wedge.
