Pisco Chilcano

Pisco and Ginger Ale are the main ingredients in the Pisco Chilcano, a traditional Peruvian drink. Pisco Chilcano’s beginnings are unknown; however, some claim that a French bartender in Lima blended Pisco with French wine and ice to create the drink. However, what I have provided here is the usual version that you will see. Take a look at it, then let us know what you think.

Pisco Chilcano


  • 2 oz Pisco
  • .5 oz Lime Juice
  • 4 oz Ginger Ale
  • 2 Drops Angostura Bitters


  • Add ice to a Highball glass.
  • Build in the glass.
    2 oz Pisco, .5 oz Lime Juice, 4 oz Ginger Ale, 2 Drops Angostura Bitters
  • Garnish with a lime wheel.
