Classic Daiquiri Cocktail

The Classic Daiquiri Cocktail Recipe is one of the few cocktails we know the origin story. In 1898 Jennings Cox was an American engineer overseeing mining activities outside the town of Daiquiri, Cuba. He was the first to write down a Daiquiri recipe. The story goes that Jennings ran out of gin while entertaining his American colleagues. So he came up with a new concoction containing rum. Afterwards, Jennings and his work colleagues would meet regularly for before works cocktails and knock back three to four at a time. During one of those sessions, he decided to call this new drink the Daiquiri after the nearby town of Daiquiri. And as we say, the rest is history. Try the Classic Daiquiri Cocktail out, and let us know what you think.
